Lost Generation Premieres in Los Angeles

Lost Generation is a new play about Hemingway and the Fitzgeralds

Our Private Tour Guide Plays Ernest Hemingway

Our guests on a Los Angeles private tour are always delighted to learn of the stage and film backgrounds of our guides and staff.  Really, it should be not be a surprise in an entertainment industry city like Los Angeles that actors and writers would be drawn to a job with great flexibility and a daily opportunity to discuss their favorite subjects:  movies, theater and themselves.  What does surprise our guests is when they learn of the number of theatrical productions staged every year throughout Los Angeles.  More than New York City….by far!  Yes, small productions, black box theater we often call it, those store fronts whose walls and windows are painted black and a stageNic, as his tour guests know him, in his playbill photo created at one end of the space.  Small theaters with fewer than 99 seats.  And when our very own people have a role in a production, film or stage, we all talk about it.  All the time.  Well, here we go again.  Our tour guide Nic Forbes is starring as Ernest Hemingway in the world premiere of Don Nigro’s LOST GENERATION opening this Friday (May 8th) at the Sherry Theatre.

LOST GENERATION navigates the dark, funny and dangerous triangular friendship between F. Scott Fitzgerald, his destructive wife and muse, Zelda, and Ernest Hemingway. They were the rock stars of their day, as sophisticated and witty as they were brilliant, but evolving attractions, jealousies, madness and crippling artistic insecurities burned just beneath the glamorous exterior.
