The fame of In-n-Out is spread worldwide if our luxury tour guests in Los Angeles are any indication. Available only in five western states most of the restaurants are in California where the business started in 1945 (in Los Angeles). Our guests who travel to Los Angeles from all over the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand often indicate to their tour guide that a meal stop should be planned at one of the several In-n-Outs that we are likely to pass as we sightsee in and around the city. Most often we stop in Hollywood near Hollywood High School but the restaurants near Universal Studios and Sony Studios are also convenient. We find it so interesting that In-n-Out is such a high priority in a city full of quirky, interesting and fabulous places to grab a quick meal or snack. But we get it. In-n-Out is always a treat for our guides and staff. And now that there are 300 restaurants we know that visits to just about anywhere in the west means an In-n-Out burger, fries and milkshake are in order.
