When you have short arms it can be a struggle to get the background just right in a selfie. That is an even bigger problem when the background is a very big billboard like the Hollywood Sign. Billboard you ask? That’s right, back in 1923 HOLLYWOOD read HOLLYWOODLAND, a land development area up through Beachwood Canyon all the way to where we are taking pictures of the recently restored and painted landmark. Beachwood Village is a quaint little commercial neighborhood and the houses along the curving roads up towards Mt. Lee are often curious architectural constructions, all of them interesting to examine, but our guests sense our destination as we drive up the steep and narrow roads to get to the Hollywood Sign. We have a number of special places to reveal the giant letters affixed to the slope and great places to take pictures. Even selfies. And if our private Los Angeles tour guests cannot get the angle just right we are there with our cameras and experience and can make certain no one leaves without the perfect picture.
